How To Play Casino Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games, mainly because it's one of the few gambling games where players can use skill rather than just relying on luck. The gameplay in blackjack is fairly simple and begins with the dealer dealing out two cards to each player. When dealt, both cards are facing up. The dealer themselves also gets two cards, but only one of theirs is facing up. The downward facing card, sometimes referred to as the 'hole' card, is only revealed after all players have chosen to stick with their cards, or draw additional cards towards a total hand value of 21.

If a player draws a card which takes the value of their hand above 21, they are bust and lose their bet. Each player is playing solely against the dealer rather than their fellow players at the blackjack table, so in order to win, players must better the dealer's total. It is entirely possible to win a blackjack hand with a low hand providing the dealer busts out of the game.
