Something is not right at Spurs at the moment, Brighton will be looking to exploit their nerves. A 7-2 hammering at home to Bayern Munich has just added to the pressure on Pochettino's shoulders and some alarming statistics have come to light. Tottenham have lost 17 games this calendar year, only worsened by today's hosts Brighton. Both teams have also only won 2 in their last 9 games. This sets the stage for a very cagey affair in the early kick off.
Tottenham will utilise their squad depth to make a few changes to Wednesday's team. Eriksen, Lamela, Lucas, Davies and Sanches were all left on the bench and will be looking for a call up here. Spurs will be looking to end their terrible away form that has seen them win twice in the last nine away league fixtures.
Brighton are also in poor form but could turn their season with a result against last years's Champions League finalists. Many tipsters and pundits are backing Brighton to claim a point here but Spurs won both of last season's encounters with Brighton by 1 goal and we expect that to happen again. Spurs simply have too much fire power and squad depth for Brighton to contain. Brighton will come out the blocks fast with the crowd behind them. Tottenham will look to kill the crowd and retain possession. If Tottenham can remain level for the first 20 minutes i think they'll go on to win the game.
