Royal Ascot Day 1: Storms Predicted

Royal Ascot starts again tomorrow. The course is said to be drying off and good conditions, however there are huge stroms expected this week.

Race 1 - 2.30 Queen Anne Stakes

This should be a great start to the week with some fantastic horses going up. Mustashry is the early favourite at 5/1 but we expect Accidental Agent to fair well and is well priced at 12/1. 

Hazapour is a great each way shout and runs well on good to soft grounds. 10/1

Race 2 - 3.05 Coventry Stakes

Arizona is the bookies favourite here and will be steered by the experienced Ryan Moore. He won on his last outing on good to firm ground but was 1/2 odds on that day. We're yet to see him run well on soft ground and therefore would avoid. We therefore fancy Guildsman to build on the win at Goodwood and is currently 8/1.

King of Athens is worth an each way shout at 30/1.

Race 3 - 3.40 King's Stand Stakes

Battaash is once again the bookies favourite, despite being recently beat by Blue Point. We are backing Blue Point to repeat that form and is well priced at 3/1. 

Sergei Prokofiev jcokeyed by Ryan Moore is a good each eway bet at 10/1.

Race 4 - 4.20 St James's Palace Stakes

Phoenix of Spain blitzed the field recently in Ireland on good to firm ground. If that form can be replicated we can't see anyone beating him. He is the early favourite at 2/1.

King of Comedy has been running well and is well priced at 6/1. 

Race 5 - 5.00 Ascot Stakes

Willie Mullins owned Buildmeupbuttercup is unplaced in 3 starts. However Willie Mullins wouldn't enter if there wasn't a strong chance of success. Ryan Moore will be in the saddle and therefore must also fancy the chances of the win. We can't overlook this and are backing the win at 5/1.

Mengli Khan is the best of the rest and priced at 6/1.

Race 6 - 5.35 Wolferton Stakes

Another Ryan Moore tip here, Magic Wand is 5/1 and our NAP.

Moutain Angel is the best of the rest and worth an each way bet at 14s.
