Goodbye for Eden Hazard? Hazard hints at Real Madrid rumours.
With 12 months left on Hazards contract there was some hope that he would extend his deal with the London Club. Lets not forget that Hazard has won huge honours at Chelsea and has played with his smile on his face for many of seasons as Chelseas top player. Talkls have been ongoing between Madrid for some time, is now the window he'll finally sign and become a Madrid man.
Chelsea are demanding £110 million for their star man who was rested in the starting line up against Leicester.
"No, I don’t think so," Hazard told reporters when asked whether the guarantee of playing in Europe's premier club competition may persuade him to stay. "I have made my decision, that’s it.
"I have made my decision but it is not just about me. We have a final to play and then I will see. I wanted that (The situation) but that’s not happened. I’m still waiting, like you are waiting and like the fans are waiting."
Hazard notched 16 goals and 15 assists in what has been his most productive season in the Premier League, and the loss of the 28-year-old will be hard to replace, as he was the only player at the club to register in double figures for either goals or creativity.
The fans pleaded with Hazard in a fantastic reception as he was plauded on and off the pitch. There was many banners for him including a banner held up in the away end as fans attempted to convince their star man of seven years that read 'Eden Hazard bleeds blue, Chelsea is your home'. Another simply read "Hazard, please stay".
Chelsea have just one game left this season with the Europa League final against their London rivals Arsenal. This is a huge game which will likely double as a testimonial for Hazard.
