Horse racing tips for today; Chepstow, Kempton, Lingfield, Musselbur

As predicted, yesterday was a bad day in terms of horse racing betting. Not many favourites even came close. We expect another difficult day as some race courses have been frozen off. However, taking all of that into account, with a few outsiders, we cautiously go again! 

GIVEN CHOICE (6.45, nap) is in great form for Simon Crisford. The four-year-old is improving with every run. While she was not at her best at Kempton the last time she ran here, when a seven-length seventh in the summer, she is a different prospect now.

Of her three victories on the all-weather, her best effort was her most recent run at Wolverhampton when drawing clear of Falcon Cliffs to win by five lengths. The Newmarket handler is in fine form and while this is a step up in class and she carries a 6lb penalty, there is no reason to believe she can't see off her six rivals.

GORGEOUS NOORA (2.30, nb) ran very well for her new yard last weekend on the Lingfield all-weather and over the same trip. Running on after not getting a clear run inside the final furlong, she finished one and a quarter lengths third behind Alsvinder.

Previously, the five-year-old mare finished fifth in a six-furlong Listed event when with Luca Cumani in October. She has a touch of class about her and can fend off the challenge of Shamshon, an eight-year-old who has been round the block a few times and who has been a commendable servant at the Richard Hannon yard.

She's enjoyed a return to the all-weather, winning both at Wolverhampton and most recently at Chelmsford two weeks ago, beating Red Pike a length carrying top weight.

Over the undulating jumps course at Chepstow, GOODGIRLTERESA (3.50, treble) has been very good indeed this week, romping to a 14-length rout of Quantum Of Solace at Ffos Las on Monday. She has to carry a penalty but Kayley Woollacott's nine-year-old mare will take all the beating in this relatively weak handicap chase over an extended two miles and three furlongs.
